Agreement to terms

By accessing or using ExpatWill.ae, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use this service.

Description of service

ExpatWill.ae is a self-guided software platform that allows users to enter their own information into a will template formatted to align with Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) submission requirements. The platform guides users through a structured process for providing the required information and generates documents based solely on user-provided information.

ExpatWill.ae provides general legal information about the will registration process and automated document generation only and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or personalised legal recommendations. The full scope and limitations of the service are set out in the Legal Advice Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms of Service and should be read together with them.

User responsibilities

When using our service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Review generated will documents carefully before proceeding with registration through ADJD
• Follow applicable legal procedures for will registration in the UAE, independently of the platform
• Acknowledge that Online Will LLC does not submit documents to any court or authority on your behalf

Automated access and reverse engineering

You must not access, interact with, analyse, or use ExpatWill.ae through any automated means, including AI agents, bots, scripts, crawlers, or similar technologies, for the purpose of monitoring, extracting, replicating, training, reverse engineering, or analysing the service, its workflows, logic, user flows, or underlying structure.

Any such use is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of Online Will LLC. This prohibition applies regardless of whether the automated activity is conducted directly, indirectly, or through a third party.

Without limiting any other rights or remedies, Online Will LLC reserves the right to take legal action in respect of any unauthorised automated access, reverse engineering, or analysis, including claims relating to any systems, services, models, software, or outputs that are derived from, based on, incorporate, or result from such prohibited activities, whether created in whole or in part.

Unauthorised document generation

Any document generated through ExpatWill.ae in any of the following circumstances shall be considered unauthorised, provided without licence, and void for the purposes of court registration, reliance, or representation as an ExpatWill.ae generated document:

• without valid payment, except where an applicable exemption or authorisation has been granted by ExpatWill.ae;
• through any attempt to circumvent the payment process;
• where the document is generated using credentials or access rights other than those assigned to the individual for whom the document is intended; or
• in connection with any reverse engineering, decompilation, or unauthorised analysis of the platform.

Furthermore, if any document is generated in the manner described above, ExpatWill.ae reserves the right to recover any unpaid fees and to take such further action as may be permitted under applicable law.

Payment terms

Payment is required only after you have provided all required information and reviewed the document summary generated by the platform. All fees are clearly displayed before payment is requested. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. Any court or government fees are separate and payable directly to the relevant authority.

Free will updates

Free, unlimited updates are included for wills prepared through ExpatWill.ae, subject to applicable court rules in effect at the time of the update and limited to genuine, substantive amendments to the will. Court fees are payable by the customer. Any legal translation required for an update is payable by the customer.

Court registration fees

Court registration fees payable to the relevant court or authority for the registration of a will are separate from the fees charged by ExpatWill.ae. These fees are set by the court and are payable directly by the customer to the court. ExpatWill.ae shall clearly disclose any known court registration fees for informational purposes, but does not set, collect, or control such fees and is not responsible for any changes made by the court or authority.

Discounts and promotions

From time to time, ExpatWill.ae may offer discounts, promotional pricing, or other incentives. All such offers are subject to any applicable eligibility criteria, conditions, or limitations specified at the time of the offer. Promotions that are issued to a specific individual, organisation, or group are personal to the intended recipient and non-transferable, unless expressly stated otherwise. Publicly available promotions may be used by any eligible customer in accordance with the applicable terms. ExpatWill.ae reserves the right, in its discretion, to modify, withdraw, refuse, or invalidate any discount or promotion where misuse, ineligibility, unauthorised use, or a dispute is identified, or where acceptance of the discount or promotion would be inconsistent with these Terms.

Refund policy

Due to the personalised nature of the service and the immediate generation of document outputs, refunds are generally not available once payment has been processed.

If you are not satisfied with the service, please contact our support team. We will work with you to resolve the issue and may, at our discretion, provide a refund if you remain dissatisfied.

Intellectual property

The content, features, and functionality of ExpatWill.ae are owned by Online Will LLC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or underlying structure of the service, in whole or in part, without prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Online Will LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, ExpatWill.ae. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Online Will LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of ExpatWill.ae, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable laws or rights of another party.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or the use of ExpatWill.ae shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of ExpatWill.ae after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
